Recap |  Box Score

Boston College Head Coach Al Skinner

"We finally showed that we have some guys that can come off the bench and give us a lift. All season long you have been watching basically five guys play basketball. Sometimes you need a lift, and today we finally got one."

"I just told them that I think we have something at stake at halftime. I think we are playing for something, and if nothing else let's make sure that we just leave it out on the floor. I asked my seniors to try to give them a little charge, and I think the younger guys responded. Jermaine (Watson) and Andrew (Bryant) responded to that and gave us a big lift and obviously helped us win this game."

"I've seen him (Andrew Bryant) do it in practice. I am not surprised at it because he has gotten numbers in practice. The thing we try to get him to understand is that he has a tendency that once he makes one he tries to make two, which is fine, but when he tries to make three and four he has a tendency to step further and further away from the three-point line and that is when he gets himself in trouble. We try to get him to maintain his concentration to stay at the three-point line to that he can be more consistent and make more shots."

Boston College Forward Andrew Bryant

"Some days just hit that zone and you just can't leave it. It just felt like it was enormous, like a could just throw a backwards jump hook and I could have made it. It just felt good and everything was going for me."

"I haven't done this since high school, so it was a good feeling and it really boosts my confidence so I am going to be shooting like that a lot more now."

Villanova Head Coach Jay Wright

"I thought Boston College showed great maturity and composure. When we had a lead they just kept playing their game. We tried to keep the ball out of [Troy] Bell's hands. He did a good job of not trying to do too much. He got [Andrew] Bryant shots ... Bryant drilled big shots."

It was a great game. I like the way we battled and hung in there, but the more experienced team, the team that is more used to winning won and I give credit to them."
