ROCKVILLE, Md. - The Wildcats baseball doubleheader scheduled for Saturday afternoon has been cancelled due to the heavy rains in the region throughout the day. The teams will play a doubleheader on Sunday beginning at Noon. The games will be played at Shirley Povich Field in Rockville.

Villanova and Georgetown were originally scheduled to play a three-game series this weekend, with a doubleheader on Saturday and single game on Sunday. Following the conclusion of tomorrow's doubleheader, an update on the status of the series' final game will be made.

The Wildcats are currently 13-6-1 on the season, including a 2-2 mark in Big East play. Villanova last played on Wednesday, when they defeated local rival Penn 3-1 in the second round of the Liberty Bell Classic.
