Villanova, Pa. - Nine members of Villanova's men's and women's track teams earned All-American honors, the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches' Association (USTFCCCA) announced today.

The Wildcat men's distance medley relay team, consisting of Sean Tully, Elvis Lewis, Drew Eckman and Robert Curtis placed third out of 12 teams in a time of 9:39.34 at the NCAA Indoor Championships at the Randal Tyson Track Center on the campus of the University of Arkansas.

The women's distance medley team, Akilah Vargas, Tiera Fletcher, Arusha McKenzie and Frances Koons finished sixth in a field of 13 DMR teams in 11:16.30 to earn points for the team at the championships and All-American honors.

Koons also garnered individual honors for placing tenth in the 3,000m.

Marina Muncan crossed the line fifth in the women's mile to be recognized as an All-American for the eighth time in her career.
