Panthers in Sixth at Lady Indian Classic

The University of Northern Iowa women's golf team stands in sixth place following the first round of the ASU Lady Indian Classic. Arkansas State University is hosting the tournament at Jonesboro Country Club. The course is a par 72 and carries 6,104 yards. The Panthers shot a 316 as a team, putting them within four strokes of second place and 13 off the lead. Louisiana-Monroe leads the tournament with a 303 and their own Angela Drane is at the top of the leaderboard with a one-under par 71. Senior Dana Moening (Cold Spring, Minn./Rocori) is leading the way for the Panthers once again. She currently stands tied for eighth individually firing a 38-38--76 (+4) on the day. Junior Emily Heseman (Clive, Iowa/West Des Moines Valley) is two strokes behind Moening, placing her at tied for 19th individually. The final round will be completed tomorrow. Team Results 1.
