Molly Schemm was in a battle today, for first place at the Wolf Pack Invitational in Reno, Nev.  She was tied with 4 other competitors going into today's round.  She beat two of them, but other competitors shot great rounds so Schemm ended in fifth place overall.  

 

Schemm shot a 77 today along with Emily Heseman to lead the Panther team.  Stef Nelson also posted a round in the 70's shooting a score of 78.  These scores helped the Panther team to retain their third place spot.  The team shot a score of 315 today which was two behind Sacramento State and 12 behind University of Nevada.  Overall the Panthers finished seven strokes out of second and 20 strokes out of first.

 

Three scores in the 70's were great for the Panthers.  "I am impressed by Molly; she is really stepping up as a freshman and playing great.  This was a tough course and she showed many strengths.  Emily Heseman also impressed me and played really well in this tournament," said head coach John Bermel.

 

The Panthers are in action next on Monday the 9th and Tuesday the 10th when they travel to Jonesboro, Ark. for the Arkansas State Invitational.  The Panthers will once again be looking to better their scores and earn a first place title.
