Prior to UNI: Was a member of the Iowa State Cyclones football squad in 2004 and 2005 ... redshirted in 2004 as the Cyclones reached the Independence Bowl.

High School: A 2004 graduate of BCLUW High School ... earned Elite All-State honors on the offensive line in 2003 ... first-team all-state pick in 2002 and 2003 by the Iowa Newspaper Association and the Des Moines Register ... earned honorable mention all-state honors from the INA in 2001 ... four-time state placer in the shot put and discus ... earned letters in football (4) and track (3) ... honor roll student ... high school coach: Les Penick.
