49ers Compete in Doubles Action At ITA Mideast Regionals

Second-seed Roy Sichel will face Maryland's Scott Fink in his first singles match, Friday, October 20

Chapel Hill, NC - The Charlotte 49ers men's tennis team had three doubles teams in action in the main draw of the ITA Mideast Region Indoor Championships at the University of North Carolina today.

The doubles team of Ryan Johnson and Felix Bernhoerster lost to the tenth-seeded team from Virginia Trent Huey and Lee Singer, 8-4. Then, Brad Clinard and Ricky Cuellar lost to the seventh-seeded team from Wake Forest Andrew Hamar and Marius Adamski, 8-1. Then, Dorian Host and Roy Sichel lost to Liberty's Chad Simpson and Jaroslov Trojan, 8-6.

Sichel, who is seeded second in the main singles draw, begins play Friday, October 20 against Maryland's Scott Fink in the round of 64.
