CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Charlotte 49ers men's soccer team hosts Conference USA rival #3 Saint Louis at Transamerica Field, Wednesday, November 6 at 7 pm. This game was originally scheduled for Friday, November 8 but has been moved up due to a schedule change caused by the events of Sept. 11. The 49ers conclude the regular-season at South Florida, Sunday, Nov. 11.
Charlotte enters the match with a 8-7-2 overall record and a 4-3-1 Conference USA record after having won four of their last five matches with wins over Marquette, NC State, Duke and DePaul during that stretch. Saint Louis enters the match as the third-ranked team in the country with a 13-1 record. Their only loss of the season was, 1-0, at Conference USA foe UAB a couple of weeks ago.
This will mark the ninth meeting between the two schools. Saint Louis leads the all-time series 6-2. However, Charlotte posted their first ever win at Saint Louis, 2-0, in the two teams last meeting last season.
Seniors David Pedreschi and Reggie Session will be playing their final home match. These two seniors will be honored before the game for their contribution to the 49ers soccer program.
