Lee Named A-10 Rookie of the Week

The freshman midfielder scored his first career goal which was the game-winner at Temple

Charlotte, NC - Charlotte 49ers men's soccer freshman midfielder Andre Lee (Montego Bay, Jamaica/Cornwall College) earned Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week honors after scoring his first career goal and recording an assist in the 49ers' two A-10 road wins this past weekend. Lee's selection as A-10 Rookie of the Week makes it two straight weeks that the 49ers have had a player claim the award since goalkeeper David Martin earned the honor last week.

Lee scored his first career goal which was the game-winner in the 49ers 1-0 win at Temple, Friday, September 29. Then, he assisted on the 49ers final goal in their 6-1 road win at Saint Joseph's, Sunday, October 1.

For the season, Lee has a goal, two assists and four points.

Lee and the rest of the 49ers men's soccer team look to remain undefeated in Atlantic 10 play when they host La Salle and George Washington this weekend at Transamerica Field, October 6-8.
