Wiedergruen Leads J. Ralph Hargett Invitational

Sophomore Shot 73 in First Round

Mint Hill, N.C. - Charlotte 49ers sophomore Stefan Wiedergruen has a share of the lead after the first round of the J. Ralph Hargett Invitational hosted by Wingate at Olde Sycamore Golf Plantation.

Wiedergruen shot an opening round 73 to match Cole West of North Greenville for the lead after the first round. North Greenville holds the team lead at 304.

Charlotte took four members to the event, playing as individuals.

Red-shirt freshman Blake Stark and sophomore David Rawluk both shot 78 to tie for 16th in the 116-player field. Senior Ty Lefler shot 81 to tie for 37th.

The tournament returns to action Tuesday at 10:00 a.m.
