vs. Richmond: Senior Cam Stephens notched his second double-double in four games (15 pts, 11 rebs) and pulled in double-digit rebounds for the third time in four games to give the Niners a 62-42 win ... Lowest point total allowed all season ... 49ers owned a 41-24 rebounding advantage ... Richmond became third opponent (2-1) held below 40% shooting (.327).

vs. Valpo: The 49ers shot just 25% in the second half and the Crusaders overcame a six-point halftime deficit. Curtis Nash led the 49ers with a career-high 22 points, but Valpo's 19-2 run midway through the second half proved the difference.

vs. Temple: The 49ers used a 19-0 run to rally to a six-point lead, early in the second half, but Temple's Lynn Greer went off, scoring 19 second-half points on 6-of-10 shooting (4-of-7 threes) to lead Temple to the win ... credit Demon Brown for sparking the Niners run, scoring 12 straight points for the 49ers during the 18-1 run that closed the half ... Jobey Thomas scored 21 points and the 49ers enjoyed a 41-25 rebounding advantage ... Temple shot .542 from three-point range (13-of-24) and forced 18 turnovers.

Trends: The 49ers are 4-0 when they shoot 40% or better from the floor ... Richmond was held to .327 shooting, the first opponent under 40% since game two of the season ... Thomas, who led C-USA in three-pointers the last two seasons, leads C-USA again with 3.9 three-pointers per game ... reserve forward Butter Johnson has scored in double figures in three games ... freshman Eddie Basden is one of the 49ers most consistent reserves, shooting .529 from the floor, scoring 3.4 points and pulling 3.7 rebounds in just over 17 minutes per game ... junior Curtis Nash continues to lead the team in three-point field goal pct.
