RARE AIR: De'Angelo Alexander ranks 4th in the A-10 in scoring (17.7 ppg) and 9th in rebounding (7.2 rpg). He is one of two players that rank in the A-10's top 10 in both catagories: Ahmad Nivins, Saint Joe's: 16.6 ppg (6th); 7.5 rpg (4th).

The Atlantic 10 Tournament: The Charlotte 49ers (14-15; 7-9) are seeded ninth in the 2007 A-10 Tournament (Mar. 7-10; Atlantic City, N.J.). Charlotte will face #8 seed Dayton in the first round (Wed., 12:00 p.m.) with the winner advancing to take on top-seed Xavier (Thurs., 12:00 p.m.). Charlotte is 0-1 all-time in A-10 Tournament play. Last year, #2 seed Charlotte lost to #10 seed Xavier, in Cincinnati, Ohio, 59-55. Charlotte and Dayton split their regular-season meetings this year with each team winning at home. Charlotte is 2-1 in games at neutral sites this year (all three neutral games were played at the Rainbow Classic in Hawai'i, where Charlotte lost to Houston and beat Valparaiso and Wyoming). Head coach Bobby Lutz is one win shy of the 350th of his career.

1000-Point Club: With 29 points at Duquesne, Feb. 21, De'Angelo Alexander became the 21st player in school history to reach 1000 points and the first to do so since Curtis Withers and Eddie Basden joined the club in 2005. He is also the fifth 49er to reach 1000 in just two playing seasons (Henry Williams, Lew Massey, Robert Earl Blue and George Jackson). With 16 points vs. George Washington, Mar. 1, junior Leemire Goldwire became the 22nd 49er to reach 1000 points. Alexander and Goldwire are the first teammates to reach 1000 since Withers and Basden in 2005.

HOT GOLD: Leemire Goldwire, who had back-to-back 20+ games at Duquesne (22) and Temple (26), scored 20+ points six times in A-10 play. He averaged 16.0 points in A-10 play, shooting .450 from three-point range.

"THREE"-Mire & "THREE"-Angelo: Leemire Goldwire (6th all-time; 209 career threes) and De'Angelo Alexander (8th all-time; 172 career threes) are both among the 49ers' all-time top 10 in career three-pointers made. Goldwire, just the sixth 49er to surpass 200 career threes, needs 2 three-pointers to tie Brendan Plavich (211) for 5th all-time. Alexander needs seven treys to tie Shanderic Downs (179) for seventh all-time.

Drayton ACES BOARDS: E.J. Drayton, who had four of his team-high seven double-doubles in A-10 play, returned from a red-shirt season to lead Charlotte and rank second in the A-10 with 8.6 rebounds per game. His 16-point; 13-rebound double-double against UMass was just the second double-double recorded against UMass' Rashaun Freeman and Stephane Lasme. The 13 rebounds in that game also matched his career-high set in the first two games of the season.

20-Somethings: In A-10 play, three 49ers have combined for 12 20-point performances. Leemire Goldwire led Charlotte with six 20-point outings in A-10 play, including a career-high 30 vs. Dayton, 26 at Temple and 25 vs. both La Salle and Richmond. De'Angelo Alexander had five of his team-high 11 20-point efforts vs. A-10 foes, including a career-high 35 vs. Fordham, 29 at Duquesne and 27 vs. St. Joseph's. E.J. Drayton posted the other 20-point effort, scoring a career-high 26 vs. La Salle.

ICE, ICE, Baby: Leemire Goldwire, who ranks 2nd in the A-10 with a .902 FT%, is especially good at icing wins:
