FORT WORTH, TX - The Charlotte baseball team lost to Conference USA foe TCU, 19-3, in the second game of their three-game series. Charlotte falls to 15-11 overall and 5-3 in Conference USA.

Charlotte's Thomas Bowker led the 49ers with three hits. George Sandel went hitless to end his 14 game hitting streak.

TCU jumped out to an early 5-0 with five runs in the first inning.

Charlotte cut the TCU lead to 5-1 with a run on three hits in the second inning. Travis Hill, who reached base on a single to right field, scored on a TCU wild pitch.

TCU scored six runs in third inning. Then, they added four runs in the fourth inning and two runs in the fifth inning. TCU rounded out their scoring with two runs in the eighth inning.

Charlotte's Billy and Joey Bradshaw both scored runs in the ninth inning to make the final score, 19-3.

The two teams will conclude their three-game Conference USA series, Sunday, March 31 at 1 pm.
