Niners Sweep A-10 Track Performer of the Week Honors

Moore and Currie Earn Performer Honors, Kauffman Tabbed as Men's Rookie

Philadelphia, Pa. - Charlotte track and field ran the table in the weekly performer of the week selections with their performances at the Charlotte 49er Classic over the weekend. Jason Moore and Lamarra Currie were named Performers of the Week, while Aaron Kauffman was tabbed Rookie of the Week, the Atlantic 10 announced today.

Jason Moore was named men's performer by virtue of his sweeping the 100m and 200m events in the 49er Classic in Charlotte. His 100m dash time of 10.52 seconds was a regional qualifying time early in this outdoor season.

Lamarra Currie also posted a regional qualifying time in the 100m, at 11.74 seconds to win her women's performer honor.

Aaron Kauffman ran a 1:58.48 tine in the 800m dash, and a 4:01.93 mark in the 1,500m run to earn rookie honors on the men's side.

The 49ers hit the track at Clemson, S.C. in the Clemson Relays this Saturday and Sunday.
