  • With 2007 coming to an end, we would like to look back at some of the accomplishments by the Charlotte 49ers athletic teams in 2007. The golf team, who were ranked #1 in the nation for a better part of the fall semester, finished third in the NCAA Championships last spring.
  • 5 Student-Athletes claimed A-10 Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors - Jane Daniels (Women's Track and Field), Andrew DiBitetto (Golf), Dorian Host (Men's Tennis), Sharonda Johnson (Women's Track and Field) and Lindsey Ozimek (Women's Soccer).

    6 teams claimed A-10 Championships - Baseball, Golf, Women's Soccer, Men's Tennis, Women's Indoor Track and Field and Women's Outdoor Track and Field.

    6 teams also participated in the NCAA Tournament - Golf (Finished 3rd in the nation), Baseball, Women's Soccer, Men's Tennis, Women's Indoor Track and Field and Women's Outdoor Track and Field.

    6 coaches claimed A-10 Coach of the Year honors - Jim Boykin (Men's Tennis), Jamie Green (Golf), Loren Hibbs (Baseball), Jon Lipsitz (Women's Soccer), Bob Olesen (Women's Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field.

    6 student athletes claimed A-10 Athlete of the Year honors - Chase Eckard (Men's Outdoor Track and Field), Adam Mills (Baseball), Matt Mincer (Golf), Lindsey Ozimek (Women's Soccer), Roy Sichel (Men's Tennis), Shareese Woods (Women's Indoor Track and Field) and Shareese Woods (Women's Outdoor Track and Field).
