Navy Volleyball Sweeps Colgate 3-0 for Sixth-Consecutive Win

Navy's volleyball team (10-6, 3-0) continued their hot streak by posting their sixth-consecutive win in Friday's 3-0 sweep over Patriot League foe Colgate (2-13, 1-2). All three games at Cotterell Court went to the wire, as the Mids pulled out 32-30, 30-28 and 32-30 thrilling wins.

Ashley Van Hartesvelt (Breckenridge, Colo.) and Kristin Davidson (Lexington Park, Md.) paced Navy with 16 and 12 kills and .258 and .241 hitting percentages, respectively. Ashleigh Shear (Chapin, S.C.) recorded a match-high 40 assists, while Jamie Levernentz (Los Alamitos, Calif.) and Jessica Van Norman (Oakland, Calif.) each posted at least 10 digs in leading the Mids to the victory.

Overall, Navy outhit the Raiders .274 to .228 and held an eight-to-six advantage in service aces.

The Mids will continue their three-game road swing Saturday night at 7 p.m. in Lewisburg, Pa., versus league opponent Bucknell.
