Mids Conclude Season At NCAA East Regional

Gainesville, Fla. - The Navy women's track and field team's 2004 season came to an end Saturday at the NCAA East Regional.
"I am fairly happy with how we performed this weekend," said Navy coach Carla Criste. "I wish we could have had a couple of athletes qualify for the NCAA Championship in Texas, but that didn't happen. It has been a long season, but we had some outstanding accomplishments this year."
Danielle Still (Fr., Lawnside, N.J.) was the lone women's competitor on Saturday finishing 17th in the javelin with throw of 136'3". Jen Leatherman (So., Yellville, Ark.), who was 13th in the hammer on Friday, was scheduled to compete in the shot put but was a late scratch.
The Mids finished the season 10-1 in dual meets and claimed third place at the Patriot League Championship earlier this month.
