\The Navy women's track & field team will be in search of its third-consecutive N-Star Saturday afternoon when it plays host to Army in Halsey Field House. Weight-throwing events will begin at 1 p.m., while other events will start at 2 p.m.

The visiting Black Knights hold a 10-3-1 advantage in the overall series against the Midshipmen, however, Navy has taken home three of the last four victories. Last Feb. 11, the Mids won consecutive N-Star meets for the first time in school history, knocking off Army in West Point, N.Y., by a 100-81 count. Navy took home first-place finishes in all running events with distances of 400m or greater.

Kacee Jossis (So./Boise, Idaho) won the 500m run in her first N-Star meet with a time of 1:18.06, while classmate Abby Wilder (Lake Geneva, Wis.) took home first-place honors in the 3000m (10:13.27). Shannon Crites' (Jr./Powell, Ohio) time of 8.69 in the 55m hurdles was tops at the meet, while Amanda Hasenauer (Jr./Sebastian, Fla.) also had a then-school-record leap of 12'6" in the pole vault for the Mids. Rounding out Navy's top-returning performers from last year's Army meet is Joanne Uwujaren (Jr./Burke, Va.), who was the top triple-jumper (36'4.25") against the Black Knights.

Last Saturday, Navy was the second-place finisher (147 points) at the five-team Princeton Invitational, held at the 168th Street Armory in New York City. Hasenauer kept her season-long undefeated pole vault streak alive with her leap of 3.79m, while Tineisha Davis (Fr./Madisonville, Ky.) qualified for the Mar. 2-3 ECAC Championship in Boston, Mass., with her 800m time of 2:12.65.
