Navy Men's Cross Country Team Takes Third at the 27th Lehigh University Paul Short Invitational

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Navy men's cross country team took third place at the 27th Lehigh University Paul Short Invitational on Saturday.

Leading the way for the Midshipmen was Jonathan Hayes. Hayes, a senior, finished the course in 24:57.4 for 15th place. Sophomore Aaron Lanzel was the next highest placing Mid, taking 18th with a time of 25:08.3.

Freshman Erik Schmidt had another strong performance, taking 24th with a time of 25:12.4. Colin Kennedy came in 30th with a time of 25:20.3 and senior Justin Mikolay took 38th with a time of 25:26.4.

Michigan State won the meet with 65 points, Cornell came in second with 105, Navy took third with 117, finishing in front of Army (124) and St. Francis rounded out the top five with 171 points.
