Mark Conley to Compete in the 2001 NCAA Wrestling Championship

ANNAPOLIS, Md.- Mark Conley (Jr./Exton, Pa.) will compete in the 2001 NCAA Wrestling Championship, March 15-17, in Iowa City, Iowa when he takes on No. 1 seed Doug Schwab of Iowa.

Conley earned an automatic bid when he defeated Lehigh's Matt Goldstein in the 141-pound weight class at the EIWA Wrestling Championship March 4. He also extended his winning streak to 13 matches. The last Navy wrestler to win an individual weight class at the EIWA Championship was Greg Gingeleskie in 1999 when he won the 184-pound weight class.
