The match will run in conjunction with the Brigade Boxing Championships. The Mids enter Friday's match having won three of its last four dual matches. Navy (9-6) is coming off a sweep over North Carolina and N.C. State last weekend on the road. The Mids scored a narrow 18-16 win over the Tar Heels and then traveled to Raleigh, N.C., where they captured a 24-12 win over the Wolfpack. Navy team captain Mark Conley (Sr./Exton, Pa.) is now the nation's No. 1-ranked wrestler in the 141-pound weight class, according to Tuesday's InterMat's individual rankings. Conley moved up a spot after top-ranked Eric Larkin from Arizona State lost, 8-5, to fourth-ranked Aaron Holker from Iowa State on Saturday. Conley is on a 14-match winning streak and has posted a 34-2 record this season. Conley's last defeat came on Dec. 20 in the championship match of the 141-pound weight class at the Midlands Tournament, when he lost to then top-ranked Larkin, 11-8. His only other loss this season was in overtime to Penn State's Scott Moore in the Penn State Open. Navy's Steve Kovach (Jr./Parkesburg, Pa.) remained at No. 20 in the heavyweight division after recording a pair of victories last weekend. Kovach is 28-5 this season and has won nine of his last 10 matches. F&M (7-12) is coming off a trio of dual matches last weekend at Rutgers. The Diplomats scored an easy 49-6 win over Wagner, while also dropping a 44-0 decision to Boston University and a 39-6 match against the host Scarlet Knights. Last season in Lancaster, Pa., Navy whipped F&M, 44-3, and remained undefeated in the overall series with the Diplomats, 14-0.
