Navy's Donahue & Ratcliffe Named to NCAA Water Polo All-Tournament Team
PALO ALTO, Calif. - Navy water polo's Joe Donahue (Sr./Annapolis, Md.) and Alex Ratcliffe (So./Coronado, Calif.) were named to the NCAA Water Polo All-Tournament Second-Team at the conclusion of the NCAA Final Four Sunday evening. Navy (25-8) battled to a fourth-place finish at the tournament this past weekend. The Mids fell to eventual national champion USC, 10-6, in the opening game before dropping a hard-fought 10-7 game to Loyola Marymount yesterday. Donahue led the Mids with three goals and tallied an assist against LMU. Ratcliffe scored a goal and had an assist against USC, while netting two goals with an assist versus the Lions. "I think it's a well deserving honor for both Joe and Alex that was made possible by a collective team effort," Navy head coach Mike Schofield said. "I think that's the most lasting impression this group made on me this year."
