Navy Track & Field Teams Finish Competition At Patriot League Championship

BETHLEHEM, Pa. -- The Navy men's and women's track & field teams finished up competition Saturday at the Patriot League Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The women's team scored a third-place finish (103 points), while the men's team placed seventh (31 points).

On the women's side, the Mids scored five first-place finishes. Amanda Hasenauer (Jr./Sebastian, Fla.) placed first in the pole vault (12'), while Joanne Uwujaren (Jr./Burke, Va.) was the victor in the triple jump (36'3.5"). Tineisha Davis (Fr./Madisonville, Ky.) placed first in the 400m (55.26) while placing second in the 200m (25.05).

The 4x100m relay team of Laura Zarcaro (Sr./Houston, Texas), Danielle Yambao (Jr./Cerritos, Calif.), Katie Scotidas (Fr./Massapequa, N.Y.) and Davis were victorious in a time of 47.89 seconds, while the 4x400m relay team of Kacee Jossis (So./Boise, Idaho), Amy Stokes (Jr./Fort Washington, Md.), Eva Tukarski (Fr./Crofton, Md.) and Davis won in a meet-record time of 3:48.22.

Stokes placed second in the 400m hurdles (63.66), while Maureen Carr (Jr./Fair Haven, Md.) was the silver medalist in the 1500m (4:53.70).

On the men's side, team captain Tom Delaney (Sr./Philadelphia, Pa.) and Bubba Durrum (So./Mt. Pleasant, Texas) placed first (5.1 meters) and second (4.8 meters) in the pole vault, respectively, while Travis Rainey placed fourth in the 100m hurdles (15.65).

Both teams will be back in action Saturday and Sunday when the Mids play host to the 68th Annual Heptagonal Championship at Ingram Field.
