Men's Track and Field Competes at IC4A Championship

The Navy men's track and field team is in action this weekend at the IC4A Championship, being held at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston, Mass.

Saturday's events were mainly trials for Sunday's semifinal and championship races. In the 3,000-meter run, Brian Harrington (Jr., San Jose, Calif.) advanced to Sunday's race with a time of 8:24.31, while teammate Ben Morris (Jr., Annapolis, Md.) placed eighth in his heat with a time of 8:34.65.

Navy's distance medley relay team of Erik Schmidt (So., Spokane, Wash.), Eric Porter (So., Brookeville, Md.), Doug Kay (Sr., Amherst, Va.) and Aaron Lanzel (Jr., Sugar Grove, Pa.) recorded the fastest time in its event Saturday, finishing the relay in a time of 9:52.86, nearly six-seconds faster than second-place Georgetown.
