Annapolis, Md. - Navy sophomore diver Kevin Teague (Lexington, Ky.) was named the Patriot League Male Diver of the Week Tuesday, following his pair of wins in the one-meter and three-meter springboard competitions versus Army in the Star Meet last Thursday.
Teague recorded a score of 297.98 to win the one-meter and easily won the three-meter by nearly 50 points with a total of 330.53.
"Kevin's performance was big for us tonight," Navy head coach Bill Roberts said following Navy's 130-113 win over the Black Knights. "As a team, we knew that every event was going to be tough and he came through both times for us."
Teague is now 10-0 in three-meter competitions this season, while also posting an impressive 9-1 mark in one-meter action.
It was the third time this season and the ninth time in his career Teague has been recognized by the league as its diver of the week. Teague also won the award on Oct. 19, after he was victorious in both the one- and three-meter springboards versus Lafayette and Rider. He also received the award on Nov. 24, following a pair of wins versus Dartmouth and Brown.
Navy (9-1) will return to action Jan. 8, when it travels to Boston, Mass., to face Harvard at 1 p.m.
