Mids Prepare for George Washington

ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- The Navy men's swimming and diving team will return to competition after a 10-day layoff Wednesday night as the Midshipmen play host to George Washington in a 5 p.m. dual meet in Lejeune Hall.
The Mids will be looking to bounce back from their narrow 122-121 loss to UMBC in their last contest, the only blemish on Navy's record through four meets this season.
"After having a weekend off from competitive swimming, we are ready to return to our season this week," said Navy head swimming coach Bill Roberts.
Navy defeated George Washington 148-88 last year in Washington, D.C. The Midshipmen recorded eight victories and swept the top-three places in five events in the dual meet.
The Colonials enter Wednesday's meet with a 0-2 record on the season.
Following Wednesday's meet, the Mids will return to the pool Saturday as both Navy programs play host to Bucknell and UNC Wilmington in a double-dual meet starting at 12 noon.
