NAVAL ACADEMY SWIMMER DIES IN ACCIDENTAL DROWNING

ANNAPOLIS, Md.--Naval Academy sophomore Jonathan Kyle Hurdle (Newport News, Va.), a member of the Navy swim team, drowned Friday night while swimming at the Warwick Yacht Club in Newport News, Va.

"Kyle was a great kid, who came from a great family," said Naval Academy Head Swim Coach Lee Lawrence. "He was a hard worker in the pool and was the model midshipmen out of the pool. This is a real tragedy."

Services for MIDN Hurdle will take place on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Peninsula Funeral Home in Newport News.
