The Navy men's swimming and diving team will close its regular season Saturday when the Midshipmen compete in a dual meet at Princeton.

Navy enters its final meet of the season with a 5-6 record, as well as a 4-4 mark against Eastern Intercollegiate Swimming League teams. Princeton has posted a 5-2 record this year, not including its Friday dual meet at Columbia.

The Midshipmen are coming off an impressive 154-89 victory over Columbia two weeks ago in Lejeune Hall. The Mids won the first-three events of the day to race out to a 49-17 lead and never looked back in posting its second-straight EISL victory. Picking up individual victories on the day were Marshall Boyd (So., Pittsburgh, Pa.) in the 100 freestyle, Drew Warren (Fr., Topeka, Kansas) in the 200 freestyle, Sumner Rollings (Jr., Poway, Calif.) in the 400 freestyle, Jake Keefe (Fr., Cincinnati, Ohio) in the 800 freestyle, Kevin Schaeffer (So., Alexandria, Va.) in the 200 breaststroke and Thatcher Carr (So., Shaker Heights, Ohio) in both the one-and three-meter diving events. Navy also posted victories in both the 400 freestyle and the 400 medley relay events.

Last season, Princeton defeated Navy 164-78 on its way to a second-place finish at the EISL Championship.

"With just three weeks to go until the league championship, Saturday's meet is important because it will help determine the best training and tapering schedule for the team," said Navy head coach Lee Lawrence.
