CENTER VALLEY, Pa. -- Navy's Kevin Mukri (Sr., Silver Spring, Md.) and Katie Griffin (Jr., Ellicott City, Md.) were selected as the Patriot League's Men's Swimmer and Women's Diver of the Week, respectively, Tuesday by the league office.

Mukri garnered the award for the fourth time over the last six weeks following his performances during Navy's Feb. 2 dual meet at Columbia. Mukri won both backstroke events against the Lions and posted the fastest time in the backstroke leg of the 200 medley relay. His time of 50.97 won the 100 backstroke by 0.82 seconds, while his clocking of 1:49.54 won him the event by nearly 4.5 seconds. Both times were his second-best clocking of the season in each respective event.

Mukri ends the regular season having posted an 8-4 record in the 100 back and a 13-1 mark in the 200 back.

Griffin, meanwhile, earned her second-consecutive weekly award from the league and her seventh nod of the season after winning both boards at the Feb. 3 Bison Invite. Her score of 271.1 won her the one-meter event by 18 points, while her tally of 266.05 on the three meter won the board by 21 points.

Additionally, Griffin was selected as the ECAC Female Diver of the Week.

Both Navy programs will next compete Feb. 15-17 at the Patriot League Championship in Lewisburg, Pa.
