Brandon Cook Competes in the Floor Exercise at NCAA Individual Finals

West Point, N.Y. - Navy freshman Brandon Cook (Longmont, Colo.) competed in the floor exercise at the NCAA Individual Finals Saturday night, but did not place among the top-10 finalists in the competition. The NCAA Championship was being held at Cristl Arena in West Point, N.Y.

The University of California's Graham Ackeman won the national title on the floor with a score of 9.60.

Cook was the lone mid to advance to the individual finals after he tied for 11th place (9.15 points) in the event at Thursday's NCAA Qualifier. Cook had an outstanding rookie campaign for Navy by winning the floor exercise in four meets.

Cook and the rest of the Navy squad will compete in the USA Championship, Thursday through Saturday, in Ithaca, N.Y.
