Barker and Helchinger Earn ECAC Honors

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Navy gymnasts Drew Barker (So./Kennewick, Wash.) and Andy Helchinger (Sr./Stockton, Calif.) were honored by the East Coast Athletic Conference (ECAC) last week the league announced.

For the week of Jan. 21, Helchinger was named Gymnast of the Week after an outstanding performance in the Navy Open. He is score of 8.75 on the floor exercise was the highest among all Navy competitors and third overall. He also recorded a seventh-place finish on the rings (8.20).

Barker was named Gymnast of the Week for the week of Feb. 4, posting a career-high all-around score of 49.10 at the James Madison Invitational. He tied for third on the vault (8.95) and tied for fourth on the high bar (8.35).
