University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) sophomore running back Moses Cochran became just the fourth Patriot to rush for 1,000 yards in a season. With his 128-yard performance at UVa-Wise, Cochran pushed his season total to 1126 yards rushing.
This is just the 7th 1,000 yard season for the Cumberlands program and first since 1999 (Chris Morrison). Cochran's current season total places him with the 5th most rushing yards by a Patriot. His career total now stands at 1601 yards, placing him 8th in career rushing. His 6.7 yards-per-carry career average is currently the highest all-time for the Patriots.
Cochran (5'8", 170-lbs) and the Patriots (8-1, 3-0 MSC East) will be back in action at home next weekend as they battle Union College for the "Brass Lantern." Kickoff with the Bulldogs (2-6, 1-2) is scheduled for 1:30 ET at James H. Taylor, II Stadium.
