Grand Island, NE - College athletes who participated in football at the NAIA level will have one more chance to take to the field this spring thanks to the Victory Sports Network.
The Victory Sports Network's second annual senior game will take place April 19th, 2008 at Platte County High School in Platte City, Missouri. The game is open to all seniors who played in the NAIA and have used all of their college eligibility.
"Getting the chance to play one more game with and against your peers will be a great experience for these guys," said Jason Dannelly, owner of VSN. "Last year's game was a tremendous success. We received positive feedback from the players, fans and Platte City. It just makes sense to bring the game back and give these guys a chance to be featured on a national stage"
The VSN Senior Classic will pit small college players from across the country against one another on "National" and "American" teams. Players will be divided up in order give the most competitive game possible.
"This game features the best talent in the NAIA. Last year we had four players from our game go on to NFL camps with countless others getting picked up by arena league teams and CFL teams."
Platte County High School's athletic facility was remodeled in 2005 with the addition of Gameday Grass, an artificial turf, as well as general improvements to their stadium. The stadium also serves as the home for the University of Saint Mary of Leavenworth, Kansas.
Coaches for the game will be announced in February. VSN has already begun evaluating players for the game and will have rosters available in March. Players can apply by clicking here.
