Colorado State Sweeps Loyola in NCAA Volleyball Tournament Rams will face Kansas State in second round.

FORT COLLINS, Colo. - The No. 11 Colorado State women’s volleyball team defeated Loyola University (Chicago) Thursday 15-5, 15-9, 15-8, to advance to the second round of the Mountain Regional in the 1999 NCAA Volleyball Championship. Sophomore Courtney Cox led the Rams with 12 kills and six digs including a career-high eight block assists. Senior Catie Vagneur finished the match with a .500 hitting percentage while registering 11 kills and five digs. The Rams dominated Game 1 forcing 12 Loyola errors to Colorado State’s one. The Rams compiled eight kills to win the match 15-5. After leading 11-9 the Rams were able to record the final four points to close out the game. Colorado State posted 13 kills and five errors in Game 3 to finish out the match. Junior Kelly Price racked up nine kills and eight digs to lead the Ramblers.
Colorado State will face Kansas State, who defeated Louisville 15-1,
15-6, 15-10, Friday at 7 p.m. (MST) in Moby Arena.
