Colorado State's Knox Named MWC Volleyball Player of the Week

Senior garners honor for first time this season.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Colorado State middle blocker Michelle Knox was named Mountain West Conference Volleyball Player of the Week, marking her first overall award.

A 6-2 senior from Highlands Ranch, Colo. (Auburn Univ.), Knox helped the Rams to a weekend sweep over New Mexico and Air Force. Against the Falcons, Knox totaled 11 kills, seven digs and two blocks, while hitting .476. In the win over the Lobos, Knox tallied another 11 kills, four digs and two blocks along with a .500 hitting percentage. Knox extended her streak to 12 matches with double figure kills and recorded her 500th career kill as a Ram last weekend.

For the week, Knox averaged 3.67 kills per game, 1.83 digs per game and .67 blocks per game, while hitting .486 (22-4-37).
