Besovic and Sydorska fall in semifinals of USTA Pro Circuit event Duo's run comes to end against No. 4 seeded team
June 22, 2007 FORT WORTH, Texas - Current TCU women's tennis player Anna Sydorska and former Horned Frog Helena Besovic fell to the the No. 4 seeded duo of Dominika Dieskova and Courtney Nagle in the doubles semifinals on Friday at the Baylor All Saints Medical Centers Pro Tennis Classic at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center.
Besovic and Sydorska took the first set by a score of 6-3, but fell 6-2, 6-2 over the next two frames to come within one match of the doubles championship match.
The duo started their run on Wednesday by knocking off the No. 2 seeded team of Nina Munch-Soegaard and Ashley Weinhold, and advanced to the semifinal round on Thursday night with a defeat of Jessica and Megan Alexander of Dallas.
