No. 31 Kovacek To Play No. 10 Logar In NCAA Individual Championships UNM's duo of Kovacek and Gersic will match up against Kentucky tomorrow
May 24, 2006 Stanford, Calif. - New Mexico senior Maja Kovacek is set to play the 19th seeded Theresa Logar from Stanford University at 5:30 p.m. in the first round of the singles draw in the NCAA Individual Championships. Kovacek received an at-large bid in the singles draw and is currently ranked 31 in the nation. Logar is the 19th seed and is currently ranked 10th in the nation. Kovacek and doubles partner Iva Gersic are set to play Georgia tomorrow. The tandem is currently ranked fourth in the nation and earned an automatic All-America honor after receiving a No. 4 seed in the doubles draw.
