COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The 2004 Mountain West Conference Men's and Women's Tennis Championships take place this week at the Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego, Calif. San Diego State will host the first-ever combined tennis championship. The New Mexico men and women earned the No. 1 seeds in their respective tournaments by winning the regular-season conference titles. For the women, the opening day matches will see 2nd-seeded BYU taking on No. 7 seed Utah, and No. 3 seed UNLV vs. No. 6 seed Wyoming at 9 a.m. on Thursday, April 29, followed by 4th-seed San Diego State vs. No. 5 seed Colorado State and top-seeded New Mexico vs. 8th-seeded Air Force at 2 p.m.
