CSU Tennis Loses To No. 44 Denver

The Rams fall to the Pioneers 6-1 today in Fort Collins, Colo.

FORT COLLINS, Colo. - Colorado State tennis fell to No. 44 Denver 6-1 today in Fort Collins, Colo. The Rams are now 12-8 this season.

The Rams' lone win came from freshman Anne Andersen when she defeated Barbara Kourim 4-6, 6-2, 1-0 (12). This is her fourth straight win at the No. 3 position and she moves to 14-4 this season. Carla Pallares, Jessica Jones, and Alex Paganetti each pushed a set into extra play.

In doubles action, the senior pair of Dasha Zhurin and Alex Paganetti played together for the first time this season and for the last time at home at the No. 3 position. Denver's Rachel Sackmaster and Marisa Mechem defeated them 8-6.

The Rams travel to Greeley to face Northern Colorado on April 19th.
