Colorado State Names Dedeann Pendleton Assistant Softball Coach Pendleton will be primarily responsible for coaching pitching and outfielders.
Aug. 8, 2005 Fort Collins, Colo. - Dedeann Pendleton returns to Colorado State for her second stint as an assistant softball coach, announced head coach Mary Yori. Pendleton will be primarily responsible for coaching pitching and outfielders. She joins the Colorado State staff from Mississippi, where she was an assistant coach under former CSU head coach Candi Letts. Pendleton was a member of the Ole Miss staff since August 1999, where she worked with outfielders, pitching and hitting and all phases of recruiting. Prior to Mississippi, Pendleton was at CSU from 1995-98 working with the outfielders and pitching. She also worked as the Fast Pitch Division Coordinator from 1996-98 at Triple Crown Sports here in Fort Collins. "Dede will bring a lot of experience to the table after coaching in the SEC the last five years," stated Yori. "She is from Southern California (Upland) so she will help us in recruiting in that area. I'm really excited to have her join our staff, she is a very positive person and fills a need in a lot of areas for us." Pendleton pitched on the Creighton softball team and also saw time in the outfield, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology in 1995. She earned first-team All-Missouri Valley Conference honors in 1995 and second-team all-conference in 1994. Pendleton also earned second-team all-region in 1994 and 1995. She is expected to start on staff on August 15.
