BYU's Whiteley Earns Academic All-District Honor Whiteley leads the team in hits (71) and batting average (.406) this season.
May 11, 2007 PROVO, Utah - Senior Jennifer Whiteley has been named to the 2007 CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team. The honor is the first for the outfielder from Houston, Texas. Whiteley, who is majoring in mathematics education, has a 3.76 GPA. In 2006, Whiteley made the CoSIDA/ESPN Academic All-Region Second Team. She is also a three-time Scholar Athlete and was named Academic All-Conference in 2005. Whiteley leads the team in hits (71) and batting average (.406) this season. She is also the school's all-time leader in triples with 13 for her career.
