"Soccer Insider" Premiers Oct. 14th on the mtn. with UNLV at Utah Get an inside look at MWC women's soccer.
Oct. 12, 2006 COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Mountain West Conference will continue its unprecedented women's soccer coverage with the "Soccer Insider" show, featuring UNLV and the University of Utah, on Oct. 14 at 5 p.m. MT on the mtn. - MountainWest Sports Network The "Soccer Insider" broadcasts are an innovative, `documentary-style', format that will feature an inside look into Mountain West soccer. This unique format will provide viewers a chance to follow a production team throughout the weekly preparations of both the UNLV and Utah women's soccer teams. The footage will include access to practices, team meals, the locker room, travel experiences and pre- and post-game sound bites to provide the viewer with a behind the scenes taste of what it's like to be a collegiate student-athlete. The show is highlighted by game footage of the conference battle between the Rebels and Utes. Utah leads the MWC race with a perfect 3-0 record, while UNLV has fallen in its first two games. The Utes are currently ranked No. 13 by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) and No. 25 in the latest Soccer Buzz poll. Last season, the Utes claimed the MWC regular-season title with a 6-0-1 record, while the Rebels clinched the tournament title and earned the automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
