Nov. 12, 2004 FORT COLLINS, Colo. - Head coach Angie Hopkins announced that *Kelly Brotherton* of Dollar, Scotland has joined Krystina Gillenwater, Natalie Stone and Karen Wanersdorfer in signing National Letters of Intent to play golf at Colorado State. Kelly, who attended Loretto School, became the youngest-ever winner of the Scottish Girls Under 21's and Under 18's Strokeplay Championship at age 16. She has won roughly 110 ladies opens in Scotland from 2000-04. She represented Scotland at The European Under 21's in Belgium in 2002 and 2003 and in the Scotland vs. English Schools in 2001 and 2004. She will also represent Scotland in the Welsh Amateur Ladies Championship at Ashbumham, Wales in 2004.
"Kelly has lots of tournament experience and is really looking forward
to coming to the States to play golf," commented Hopkins. "She is a very
talented golfer with an ability to shoot very low at times. I think with
the signing of Kelly and the other three players, the CSU Women's Golf
Team will continue to be a dominant force in Women's Collegiate Golf."
