COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Utah sophomore Daniel Lohff has been named Mountain West Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week after posting a 2-0 record in both singles and doubles competition on the week. This is his first career player of the week accolade.
Lohff, a product of Malmoe, Sweden, began his week defeating Utah State's Jonah Nelson (6-2, 6-3) at the No. 1 position and teamed with Kaisorn Chaichana to beat Ryan Bair and Ryan Jensen (8-4) at the No. 3 doubles spot. In the Utes 6-1 win over Montana State, he posted a 7-6, 6-4 win over Marek Gebicki in the No. 2 slot and, along with Chaichana, defeated Braden Olson and Jake Barriochoa, 8-3, in No. 3 doubles. On the season, Lohff has a 9-4 record (2-1 dual).
