Three Ute Golfers Make Academic All-Mountain West Team Shawn Edwards, Lucas Swilor and Paul Winterowd Honored.
July 19, 2001 SALT LAKE CITY -- Utah placed three men's golfers on the Academic All-Mountain West Conference team. Senior Shawn Edwards, a native of Bountiful, Utah, sophomore Lucas Swilor, a freshman from Salt Lake City, and Paul Winterowd, a junior from Murray, Utah, were recognized.
To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have completed at least one academic term at the member institution, maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better and be a starter or significant contributor to the team.
