CSU's Spence Collects McLeodUSA Mountain West Conference Men's Golfer of the Week Honor Sophomore finishes second in field of 116. (3/15)
March 17, 2000 Colorado Springs, Colo. Colorado State senior Nigel Spence is the McLeodUSA Mountain West Conference Men¹s Golfer of the Week after leading the Rams to a 4th place finish out of 19 teams at the Silver Springs Shores Invitational in Ocala, Fla. Spence, from Seaton, S. Australia (Immanuel Academy), finished 2nd out of 116 competitors. He shot a personal low 67 in the final round. He also set a Colorado State all time record for three rounds with a 10-under par 68-71-67 for a 206 total. Spence moved within two-tenths of first on the CSU career stroke-per-round average list with 73.37.
