TCU football announces its 2007 Leadership Council Each position represented among the 13 players
June 6, 2007 FORT WORTH, Texas -- The TCU football program has announced its 2007 Leadership Council, consisting of a player from each position. The 13-player 2007 TCU Leadership Council includes the following: Tommy Blake (defensive line), Brian Bonner (safety), Marcus Brock (wide receiver), Aaron Brown (running back), David Hawthorne (linebacker), Marcus Jackson (quarterback), William Jackson (fullback), Matty Lindner (offensive line), Chris Manfredini (placekicker), Chase Ortiz (defensive line), Jason Phillips (linebacker), Shae Reagan (tight end) and Nick Sanders (cornerback). Eight years ago, the Horned Frog coaching staff formed a group called the TCU Leadership Council. The group consisted of a player from each position. It's entrusted with providing positive leadership for the team on and off the field as well as serving the team and coaches as a means of communication on all issues that arise. The Leadership Council is also proactive in facilitating academic, social and athletic success of each individual on the team and, most importantly, to the team itself. It provides ideas, shares experiences and makes suggestions for the improvement of the TCU football team.
