2004 MWC Preseason Cross Country Rankings Announced

With the start of the 2004 Cross Country season just around the corner, Colorado State's women are ranked second in the Mountain West Conference according to the Preseason Coaches' Poll.

Fort Collins, Colo. - With the start of the 2004 Cross Country season just around the corner, Colorado State's women are ranked second in the Mountain West Conference according to the Preseason Coaches' Poll. The Ram men are ranked fourth in the league. The women's team received one first place vote and was predicted second with 41 points. They are returning three all-conference runners, Colleen Blair, Michelle Carman, and Crystal Clark. For the fifth straight season, the BYU women's team captured the top spot in the poll receiving seven first place votes. The men's team received 15 votes placing them behind BYU, Air Force, and New Mexico. This year, the Rams are returning all-conference runner Josh Glaab, as well as senior Mike Nicks, and junior Paul Michel. The Rams' first meet of the season is on Sept. 3, at the University of Wyoming. The teams will be at home twice on Saturday, Sept. 11 for the CSU Open and again when they host the NCAA Midwest Regionals in Fort Collins on Nov. 13.
