UNLV Wraps Up Season In California

Suszek paces Rebels at West Region meet.

UNLV finished 26th with 732 points and senior Michele Suszek came in 48th at the NCAA West Region meet Saturday afternoon at Woodward Park in Fresno, Calif.

Suszek covered the 6k course in a time of 21:56, improving on her 66th-place finish at last year's West Region meet.

Alicia Craig of Stanford won the women's individual title, crossing the finish line in a time of 20:03, as she led a group of four Cardinal runners that finished in the top-7. Stanford used the group's impressive finish to win the women's title with 29 points, the lowest total in the 28-team field.

Arizona State finished second with 45 team points, UC Santa Barbara was third with 92 points, Idaho came in fourth with 140 points and Washington rounded out the top five with 143 points.

Sarah Loughlin was the next Rebel to cross the finish line for UNLV, coming in 159th place (24:15), Katie Hughes finished 172nd (24:51), Erin Hammond came in 175th (25:09), Leta Rose was 178th (25:09) and Samantha Serrano finished 179th (25:56).
