Engineers Finish Eighth at USA Gymnastics Collegiate Nationals

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The MIT men's gymnastics team ended its season with an eighth-place finish at the USA Gymnastics Collegiate Nationals hosted by Cornell University this past weekend. Brad Sutton led the Engineers by ranking 15th in the all-around with a score of 47.65. In the individual events, he placed a team-high third on the pommel horse (8.7) and 16th on the parallel bars (8.2). Zach Eisenstat finished 20th in the all-around with a total of 45.850 points. Matthew Heine had the best performance for MIT on the still rings (17th place, 8.3), vault (31st place, 8.55), and high bar (34th place, 7.4), while he notched an all-around tally of 44.75 for 25th place. Joshua Coblenz paced Tech on the floor exercise with a score of 8.425 for a 30th-place ranking. In addition, he finished 28th in the all-around with 42.625 points. |
